# Many links at once

OmniGet can take a whole list of links in one go. Paste them together in the box, or keep them in a text file and open it; OmniGet checks the list first and skips what it cannot download.

## Where it is

- **Home**, in the **Paste a link or search** box.
- **Home › More ways to download** (the button at the left of the box) **› Paste many links…** to open a `.txt` file.
- Drag a `.txt` file onto the OmniGet window.

## How to use it

### Paste several links

1. Copy the links. They can be on separate lines or separated by spaces, and can sit inside other text, such as a chat message.
2. Paste them in the box on Home.
3. OmniGet shows how many it found, for example **N links found**. Repeated links are counted once.
4. Pick a mode: **Auto**, **Audio only (MP3)** or **Video without sound**.
5. Click **Download all N**.

### Open a text file

1. Make a `.txt` file with one link per line.
2. Click **More ways to download › Paste many links…** and pick the file, or drag the file onto the window.
3. The links appear in the box and OmniGet shows the batch, as above.

In the file:

- Empty lines and lines that start with `#` are skipped, so you can add notes.
- On each line, anything after a `|` is ignored.
- Lines must start with `http://`, `https://`, `magnet:` or `p2p:`. Other lines are skipped.
- A file with only one link opens that link as a normal single download.

### The check before the batch

Before adding the links, OmniGet checks the list:

- If some links are repeated or cannot be handled, it shows **Skipping X of Y: unsupported or repeated.** and downloads the rest.
- If none of them can be downloaded, it stops and shows **None of the … links can be downloaded — no supported site among them.**

When the batch starts, OmniGet shows how many downloads it added to the [Queue](https://getomniget.com/docs/queue).

## Options

A batch uses fewer options than a single link:

| Option | What it does | Default |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Mode | **Auto**, **Audio only (MP3)** or **Video without sound**, for every link. | The last mode you used |
| Quality | Every link uses **Settings › Downloads › Quality › Video quality**. | 720p |
| Folder | Every link goes to the **Default folder**, or OmniGet asks when **Always ask where to save** is on. | Your Downloads folder |

There is no per-link quality, format, section or account choice in a batch. For those, paste the links one at a time.

When you paste, OmniGet removes common tracking parameters from each link and drops links that point to the same video.

## Common problems

### No valid URLs found in the file

None of the lines starts with `http://`, `https://`, `magnet:` or `p2p:`. Check that each link is on its own line and complete.

### Some links failed later

The check before the batch only looks at the links themselves. A link can still fail when it downloads, for example if it needs a login. Each failure shows in the [Queue](https://getomniget.com/docs/queue) with its own error.
