# All shortcuts

This page lists the keyboard shortcuts of OmniGet, grouped by where they work. Pick your system in the sidebar to see the keys for macOS or for Windows and Linux.

## Where it is

Press ? anywhere in the app, outside a text field, to open **Keyboard shortcuts**, a short version of this list. Inside **LLM › Threads**, ? opens the shortcuts of the threads instead.

## Shortcuts

### Anywhere in the window

| Keys | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `⌘K` (macOS) / `Ctrl+K` | Open the command palette (**Search**). See [The app window](https://getomniget.com/docs/interface). |
| ? or `⌃/` (macOS) / `Ctrl+/` | Show or hide **Keyboard shortcuts**. |
| `⌃1` (macOS) / `Ctrl+1` | Go to Home. |
| `⌃2` (macOS) / `Ctrl+2` | Go to Downloads. |
| `⌃,` (macOS) / `Ctrl+,` | Open Settings. |
| `esc` (macOS) / `Esc` | Close the dialog or cancel. |

To collapse or expand the sidebar, press `⌃⌘S` (macOS) / `Ctrl+Shift+S`.

`⌃1` (macOS) / `Ctrl+1`, `⌃2` (macOS) / `Ctrl+2` and `⌃,` (macOS) / `Ctrl+,` use the Control key on every system, also on macOS. They do nothing in the Canvas, which has its own keys, and they do not fire while you type in a text field.

### Home

| Keys | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `↩` (macOS) / `Enter` | In the box **Paste a link or search**: start the download, or search when the text is not a link. |

See [Paste a link](https://getomniget.com/docs/omnibox).

### Settings

| Keys | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `⌘F` (macOS) / `Ctrl+F` | Jump to the settings search field. |

### Global hotkeys

These work from any app, even when the OmniGet window is hidden. Set them in **Settings › Downloads › Clipboard & hotkeys**, where **Record** lets you press a new combination. See [Clipboard and global hotkeys](https://getomniget.com/docs/clipboard-hotkeys).

| Keys | Setting | What it does | Default |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `⇧⌘D` (macOS) / `Ctrl+Shift+D` | **Global hotkey** | Downloads the link in your clipboard. | Off |
| `⇧⌘M` (macOS) / `Ctrl+Shift+M` | **Music download hotkey** | Downloads the link in your clipboard as audio. | Off |
| `⇧⌘O` (macOS) / `Ctrl+Shift+O` | | Opens or hides the Omni window. See [Omni, the companion](https://getomniget.com/docs/omni). | On |

Note

On macOS the global hotkeys need the Accessibility permission: **System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility**. OmniGet tells you when it is missing.

If another app already uses the same combination, OmniGet cannot register it and keeps the previous one. Pick another combination.

### LLM threads

These work in **LLM › Threads**. Press ? there to see them with their current keys.

| Keys | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `⌘N` (macOS) / `Ctrl+N` | New thread |
| `⇧⌘N` (macOS) / `Ctrl+Shift+N` | New thread in current project |
| `⌥↑` (macOS) / `Alt+↑` / `⌥↓` (macOS) / `Alt+↓` | Previous / next thread |
| `⌘1` (macOS) / `Ctrl+1` to `⌘9` (macOS) / `Ctrl+9` | Jump to a thread in the list |
| `⌘L` (macOS) / `Ctrl+L` | Focus composer |
| `↩` (macOS) / `Enter` | Send |
| `⇧↩` (macOS) / `Shift+Enter` | New line |
| `⌘↩` (macOS) / `Ctrl+Enter` | Send now (interrupt) |
| `⌘.` (macOS) / `Ctrl+.` or `esc` (macOS) / `Esc` | Interrupt the running turn |
| `⌘J` (macOS) / `Ctrl+J` | Toggle right panel |
| `⌘D` (macOS) / `Ctrl+D` | Open Diff |
| `⌥T` (macOS) / `Alt+T` | Open Terminal |
| `⌘B` (macOS) / `Ctrl+B` | Toggle sidebar |
| `⇧⌘A` (macOS) / `Ctrl+Shift+A` | Toggle plan/default mode |
| `⇧⌘X` (macOS) / `Ctrl+Shift+X` | Cycle access mode |
| `⌘K` (macOS) / `Ctrl+K` | Command palette of the threads |
| `⌘,` (macOS) / `Ctrl+,` | Open settings |

When an agent asks for approval, and you are not typing:

| Keys | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Y | Approve once |
| S | Approve for this session |
| A | Always approve |
| N | Deny |

The full list (pin, snooze, rename, fork, panels and more) is in the threads shortcuts dialog. See [Threads](https://getomniget.com/docs/threads).

Note

Inside **LLM › Threads**, the threads keys win: on Windows and Linux `⌃1` (macOS) / `Ctrl+1` jumps to the first thread instead of Home, and `⌃⇧S` (macOS) / `Ctrl+Shift+S` snoozes the open thread instead of folding the sidebar.

### Canvas

The Canvas has its own set: new note, new terminal, minimap, zoom, connect, groups and more. You can change any of them in **Settings › Integrations › Canvas**. See [Canvas shortcuts](https://getomniget.com/docs/canvas-shortcuts).

### Browser extension

| Keys | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `⌥O` (macOS) / `Alt+O` | Send the current page to OmniGet. |

Change it in your browser’s extension shortcuts page. See [Browser extension](https://getomniget.com/docs/extension).

## Common problems

### A shortcut does nothing

- Click outside the text field first: most single keys and ? are ignored while you type.
- In the Canvas, the page keys (`⌃1` (macOS) / `Ctrl+1`, `⌃2` (macOS) / `Ctrl+2`, `⌃,` (macOS) / `Ctrl+,`) are off.
- A global hotkey can be taken by another app. Record a different one.

### The music hotkey and Pick model clash

In **LLM › Threads**, `⇧⌘M` (macOS) / `Ctrl+Shift+M` is **Pick model**. When the music hotkey is on, the system-wide hotkey can catch the keys first. Record a different music hotkey if you use both.
