Startup and profile
These settings decide when OmniGet starts, what happens when you close its window, and how you appear to others. Your profile is a nickname, a colour and a key kept on this computer; there is no account.
Where it is
- Startup and profile: Settings › General.
- Discord status: Settings › Integrations › Discord Rich Presence.
How to use it
- Open Settings › General.
- Under General, turn on the startup options you want. They apply at once.
- Under Local profile, type a nickname, click Save and pick a colour.
Options

How they combine:
- With every option off, closing the window hides OmniGet in the tray. Use Quit in the tray menu to quit. See The app window.
- Run agents in the background wins over Quit when the window is closed: with both on, closing the window still keeps OmniGet in the tray, so your agents keep working.
- With Start with system and Run agents in the background both on, OmniGet starts hidden in the tray when you log in.
Local profile

The profile never leaves this computer on its own. The secret half of the key is kept in your system’s key store when OmniGet can use it, and otherwise in an encrypted file in OmniGet’s data folder.
The avatar and nickname also appear at the bottom of the sidebar. Click them to come back here.
Reset hints
Reset hints › Restore shows again every tip you dismissed in the app.
Discord Rich Presence
Shows what you are listening to, watching or reading on your Discord profile, while Discord runs on the same computer. What you download is not shown.

Common problems
“Could not reach Discord. Make sure it is running.”
Open the Discord desktop app and try Send test again. The browser version of Discord cannot show this status.
