Help
Help inside the app
The Help page gathers short product guides you can read without a connection, plus Ask OmniGet, an assistant that answers questions about the app. The guides cover the AI side of OmniGet (connections, agents, permissions, MCP, tasks) and downloading again after an error.
Where it is
Click Help in the Main section of the sidebar. The page opens on How can we help? with three tabs: Documentation, Ask OmniGet and Guided setup.
How to use it
Read a guide
- Open Help. The Documentation tab lists the Product guides.
- Type in Search guides to filter them. Matches in the title and summary are highlighted.
- Click a guide. Each one has the same parts: Before you start, Steps, Expected result and If something goes wrong.
- Click Open in OmniGet at the end to jump to the screen the guide talks about.
- Click Save guide to keep it under Favorites. Guides you open also appear under Recently opened. All topics shows the full list again.
Ask OmniGet
The assistant uses an agent you already set up in LLM. Without one, the tab shows Connect AI, which opens the connections screen.
- Open the Ask OmniGet tab.
- In Use connection from, pick the agent whose connection should answer.
- Write in Your question and click Ask assistant. Click Stop to cancel an answer.
- Read the answer. Under it, Sources consulted links to the guides it used, and Configured model shows which connection and model answered.
- If the assistant wants to run an app action, a Review tool request box shows what it will do. Click Allow once or Deny.
- Click Copy answer to copy the text with its sources, or New conversation to start over.
When the assistant starts a download, a card shows it with its status and progress. The download goes into the same queue as any other.
Check connection runs a quick check of the selected connection and shows the result. If the selected agent runs through its own runtime (a coding CLI instead of OmniGet’s own agent), the tab says so: it can chat, but app actions go through Guided setup.
Create an agent from Help
At the bottom of Ask OmniGet, Create an agent copies the connection of the selected agent into a new one.
- Open Create an agent.
- Leave Edit an existing agent on New agent, or pick an agent to change.
- Type an Agent name and click Review setup.
- Check the Before and After lines, then click Create this agent.
- Click Test connection (uses quota) to send one real request, or Open agents to see it in the roster.
A new agent Starts without tool permissions. Editing an existing one keeps its permissions.
Guided setup
The Guided setup tab links to the setup guides (quota monitor, fixing a connection, downloading again, connecting MCP tools, creating your first agent) and shows the connection wizard right below them.
Common problems
The assistant tab only shows Connect AI
No agent exists yet. Set up a connection in LLM, then come back. The guides in Documentation work without it.
The answer never arrives
Click Stop, then Check connection. If the check fails, fix the connection in LLM › Configure first. The guide Fix a connection walks through it.
